Olive Kitchen and Cocktails is located at 1001 W. Lane Road, in Machesney Park and is managed by Mike Muzzarelli. Muzzarelli is also the food and beverage director at the Radisson Hotel & Conference Center.

High-profile businessman Sunil Puri, president of First Rockford Group, owns Olive, this is his first dining venture outside of the Radisson, which houses the Forest City Pub.

Olive’s restaurant features mostly American fare, like sandwiches, homemade soups, salads, pasta dishes and steaks. Muzzarelli said a special breaded olive appetizer, club sandwich and Friday night prime rib special have been the most popular dishes so far.

In addition, the restaurant does have a banquet room that can hold about 90 people, so Muzzarelli said Olive will be available for small parties and can provide catering.  Plus there are 3 big screen TVs in HD for your viewing pleasure along with FREE wifi.

Banquet hall—(Room Charge will be waved if more than $5,000.00 minus the room charge is accrued) Room charge runs up until midnight. 

 

$450 cleanup and setup fee for outside caterers

 

Option 1 – Ballroom 1 up to 100 people comfortably (1395 square footage) – 350.00 dollars  

Option 2 – Ballroom 2 up to 75 people comfortably (1080 square footage) – 250.00 dollars 

Option 3 - Large Ballroom 175 people comfortably (2700 square feet together) – 600.00  

 

Facility is capable of holding up to 200 people. We reccomend that a reception be held to 175 for comfort and accessibility.

The Olympic Tavern was founded in 1945 by Anthony Rotello. Originally serving local businessmen and factory workers a burger and a beer, The Olympic Tavern quickly grew into a full service restaurant and bar.

Through several renovations, Anthony and his son Thomas grew the business from a 12-stool bar into the 250+ seat restaurant that exists today.

The Olympic Tavern's formula for success is simple; listen to the customer and deliver more than they expect. There's everything from burgers to lobster tails on the menu, a great wine list and Rockford's best craft beer menu.
